THERMONIE was founded in 1969 and has since established itself as an exclusive representative of various manufacturers and as a design-in sales company to become a permanent fixture in the supplier landscape of the German and European battery technology, automotive and heating and household appliance industries as well as mechanical engineering. Our unique product portfolio includes bimetal- and capillary thermostats, NTC thermistors and Pt temperature sensors, temperature fuses, PPTC resettable fuses and DC contactors. Together with our customers and partners, we develop, produce and distribute our products, which are often customized for the current challenges of the industries.
History
THERMONIE is an owner-managed traditional company based in the west of Hamburg in its second generation. In the course of the generational change in 2004, Lars Niemandt took over the company. Since then, the company has been operating under the name THERMONIE Elektrotechnische Komponenten GmbH.
We are ISO9001:2015 certified.

Based on our more than 50 years of experience as a representative and design-in sales company, our sales engineers advise you on the design of your specification and then work together with our development engineers at our production facilities to develop customized solutions with a high degree of innovation and reliable quality. Our components are used in numerous industrial applications with a wide variety of thermal requirements. We are constantly developing our product portfolio for this purpose.
We support our customers in partnership from the initial specification to prototyping to SOP (start of production) in the design and manufacture of their customized products for optimal integration into the customer application.
THERMONIE is QMS ISO 9001:2015 certified, as are all our manufacturing facilities, some of which are also IATF16949 certified. With our own test department we additionally ensure the quality of the goods produced and regularly visit and inspect our production facilities. If necessary, we will also audit them. THERMONIE is a member of the VDE.
Our sales team is happy to answer any questions our customers may have. We use our extensive and in-house warehousing to process our customers’ orders reliably and on time “just in time”. Even short-term changes in demand can be fulfilled without any problems and without delay for the customer due to this extensive warehousing. Due to its unique position as a logistics hub and “gateway to the world“, the Elbe metropolis of Hamburg offers us the perfect location for our company and thus a cost-conscious and efficient national or international transport of our goods.
